VAWDASV – Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence


Welsh Government has set a a mandatory requirement for all professionals working within Welsh Public Service to undertake training via e-learning for Violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence (VAWDASV).  If you are employed by a Local Authority, there is 100% requirement by March 2018 to complete the e-learning training. 

For staff employed by Blaenau Gwent and Caerphilly County Borough Council please follow the steps below to complete this.

The training can be accessed via the following link learning.wales.nhs.uk/login/index.php

You will need to undertake the following steps to access the training:

Step 1: Create a new account if you haven’t already set this up – you will need your employee number

Step 2: Once you have access type the following words into the search engine ‘Domestic Abuse Training’

Step 3: Click on the link – ‘NHS Wales violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence’

Step 4: If you are a Blaenau Gwent employee type in the key code – Blaen15%

Step 5: If you are a Caerphilly Council employee type in the key code – Ccbc101%

Step 6: You will need headphones to listen to the audio description

Step 7: Ready to progress with the e-learning training

Completion of this e-learning satisfies the requirements of group 1 of the National Training Framework on violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence.  This should be renewed every 3 years.
