Learning Outcomes

Understand multi-agency approach to Child Protection and the ABE Four Phased model of interviewing

Apply ABE guidance in order to effectively manage the initial contact phase of the investigation and Improve knowledge as to the processes involved in specialist interviews with the vulnerable and disadvantaged

Develop an appreciation of effective communication skills both verbal and non-verbal and be able to apply appropriate planning considerations at initial contact leading to improved forensic interviews

Raising staff confidence levels, leading to increased job satisfaction and higher employee engagement levels

Raising levels of confidence and accuracy from witnesses. Improved levels of knowledge, planning and investigator skills which raise effectiveness and save time with relevant cost benefits
